MAIN FUNCTIONS
DATA COLLECTION:
In and Out punches are collected in the iGuard Terminals. These terminals can collect data via Smart Card, Fingerprint, key pad or a combination.
DATA TRANSMISSION:
Up to 5,000 punches of data is stored until it is sent over the network (WAN, LAN or NIC) to the iGuard Time and Attendance software.
DATA MANAGEMENT: As the data is received in the payroll office, it is checked for missing or erroneous entries. Management reports are run and distributed to work-site managers.
RUNNING PAYROLL: At the end of the pay period the iGuardTA generates an ASCII file that can be imported into the payroll system.

FINGERPRINT
The iGuardTA Time & Attendance system is the most advanced fingerprint identification and verification system available today. Instead of using the traditional optical scanner, iGuard FPS110 is the first Fingerprint Biometrics Security System that uses the most advanced Solid-state, silicon-based Capacitive Fingerprint Sensor. The iGuard terminal is a self-contained device that includes a high-performance fingerprint recognition algorithm coupled with a fully programmable microprocessor and web browser, extremely high accuracy available instantly via a TCP/IP address. The iGuard emphasizes user-friendliness with a 16X2 LCD display and backlighted 12-digit keypad, visual and audible indicators, maintenance-free image capture and web browser communication. The iGuard is a high-capacity device storing extensive transaction logs and can store many thousands of fingerprint templates. The iGuard is compact, fast, and connects directly to existing Access Control or Time/Attendance systems through standard TCP/IP network, Weigand or 12 vdc communication ports.
CONTACTLESS SMART CARD
iGuard can be optionally (in place of the fingerprint or in addition to the fingerprint) equipped with the renowned Mifare Contactless Smart Card Reader. (MIFARER ® is an interface platform for contactless smart cards and readers according to the ISO 14443 A Standard). With this option, users can both use the conventional way or the smart card for user authentication. Each user will have his / her own smart card, which stores the user information including the name, company & branch code, and the fingerprint information. Normally, all the users' information is stored in the internal memory of the iGuard, including the fingerprint template (a mathematical representation of the fingerprint image). The information requires a lot of memory space. Therefore, there is a limitation of the maximum number of users stored, and the current maximum number of users is 1,000. With the smart card, since the user information is no longer stored in the internal memory, the device can thus support many more users (i.e., up to 5,000 users).
RUNNING PAYROLL
At the end processing of each payroll period, The iGuard Time Clock will generate an ASCII file that can be imported into your Payroll/Accounting system. If your payroll system can import ASCII files, iGuard can create an interface for your system even if your system is in-house or custom programmed. Numerous standard interfaces are available and include: ADP, Paychex, Wells Fargo, QuickBooks Pro, many more.
REPORTS
A variety of reports can be produced to give you the information you need in a format you can use. The following screens illustrate the many variations available when selections of filters and formats are combined.
